Red Wing Arts is pleased to host free artmaking opportunities for community members to learn, experiment with, and experience different techniques and media. Community Saturdays are free and open to all ages to drop in and stay as your schedule allows. All materials are provided.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Get into the holiday spirit with a festive drop-in art activity! We’ll be crafting handmade ornaments using classic salt dough — a simple, sculptable medium perfect for creating keepsakes and gifts.
Participants will roll, shape, and decorate their own ornaments using cookie cutters, stamps, and other tools. Afterward, ornaments can be taken home to bake and harden — ready to paint, personalize, and hang.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
