History of Vision - by Jacob Powell
This lecture will present one history of vision, criticisms of it, defenses, and ending with what is left intact to say about a history of vision in Europe, with a particular focus on the Early Modern/Renaissance.
AI and the Unconscious - by Jill Baker
Focusing on the actual details of changes AI art can pose to the art world, Baker reads AI through essays by Freud and extends the conversation using concept from the Freudian school to get a grasp on AI's dreamlike character.
Ancient Arabia - by Lena Anderson
A discussion of religious practices and beliefs in the pre-Islamic Arab world and their contributions to modern Islamic tradition.
