A hybrid event bringing together several community retrofit projects to share their wealth of experience.
About this Event

The Speakers will be:

Jonathan Atkinson

Based in Manchester, Jonathan is a co-founder of Community Energy organisation, Carbon Co-op, where he acts as Retrofit Lead. In 2021, he was one of the co-founders of the retrofit one stop shop, People Powered Retrofit, running the R&D project that led to its foundation whilst at Carbon Co-op and authoring the business plan and investment offer. He now acts as Business Director, overseeing income generation and acting as a mentor and advisor to other retrofit and One Stop Shop initiatives around the UK and Europe.

Zana Dean

Zana works at South East London Community Energy, SELCE, with the founder Giovanna Speciale, as the project lead for Future Fit Homes domestic retrofit advice service. Zana has a background as an architect at Tread Studio, and ATAP, specialising in low energy, natural materials, and community architecture, and has Retrofit Coordinator training. The current project supports a place-based approach to domestic retrofit for home owners, who are either eligible for grant funding (such as ECO4), or those self-funding retrofit. It draws on SELCE's 10 year background in community solar and energy advice work, to support decarbonisation at community level.

Geordie Stewart

Geordie is a skilled construction and project manager with over 25 years of international experience, Geordie is passionate about sustainable and energy-efficient solutions in the built environment. He is a trained Retrofit Coordinator and manages the Cosy Homes Oxfordshire team based in Charlbury, Oxfordshire.

Hassell is on the first floor. There is lift access, but there are a few steps to get to the lift. Doors will open at 6.30. (Maximum number of in-person attendees is 30.) For those who are able to attend in person, there will be a chance to socialise and network afterwards with refreshments.
