Welcome to Egin presents Community Resource Sharing Event!Join us at Lle Hapus from 11am-1pm, sharing and connecting with your community. This event is all about coming together to exchange ideas, resources, awareness of current projects and support. Whether you have something to offer or are looking for help, this is the perfect opportunity to network and collaborate with like-minded individuals.
Throughout the event you can:
Experience a mini free shop from Give and Take and Incredible Edible Wrecsam - where we can give and/or take items for free.
Experience a mini repair cafe! Dave will offer laptop/electrical/pat testing and Ali will offer machine/hand, sewing and all non-electrical general repair.
Experience a surplus foodshare from Llangollen Foodshare - where surplus food can be taken home for free
Experience a plant and seed share from Incredible Edible Wrecsam - where can give and/or take plants and seeds for free.
In a panel talk and group discussion, learn about:
Wrexham Clothing Exchange - where clothes are swopped
Incredible Edible Wrecsam - where healthy food is grown for free.
Give and Take - where items are shared in our community free stalls
Llangollen Foodshare - where surplus food is redistributed for free in Llangollen Community.
Repair Cafe - where instead of being thrown away, items are fixed to see another day!
And any other organisations that resource share, helping the environment, who would like to come and share what you do! We would love to hear from you in the group discussion.
Bring your skills, knowledge, and a willingness to learn from others. Together, we can create a stronger, more resilient community that cares about the environment that supports us and eachother.
Planned timetable:
11am - Arrive, with refreshments and the opportunity to Give or Take from the free shop, and share the surplus food from Llangollen Food Share.
11.15 Panel Talk. 5 minute shares on local projects happening, including Incredible Edible Wrecsam, Give and Take, Wrexham Clothing Exchange and LLangollen Foodshare.
Followed by a Group Discussion
12.20pm Ideas for new projects and information about Egin that can support new projects.
12.30-1pm: Some time to network, share ideas for new projects, sign up for Egin and volunteer information, and maybe save some more items from landfill with the free shop and the foodshares.
