Charleston County School District’s (CCSD) McKinney-Vento Office is encouraging families experiencing homelessness or housing instability to attend an upcoming community resource event on Thursday, October 15, 2026, to connect with available resources, meet service providers, and learn about assistance that may be available to them. The event will take place at 3963 Whipper Barony Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
Families may be eligible for assistance if they are temporarily staying with friends or relatives because of housing loss or financial hardship, living in hotels or motels, staying in shelters, or residing in cars or other places not intended for regular nighttime accommodations.
Families experiencing homelessness or housing instability are encouraged to come out and take advantage of the available community resources. The event is an opportunity for families to connect with organizations that may be able to assist with essential needs, housing-related challenges, and other supportive services.
