Community Q&A w/ City Controller Rachael Heisler

Join us for a presentation and public Q&A with City Controller Rachael Heisler!
Did you know that the City Controller is one of only two independently elected city-wide officials? (The other one is the Mayor, of course.) The City Controller serves as the fiscal watchdog for the citizens of the City of Pittsburgh. It is the job of the Controller to protect City tax dollars from waste, fraud and abuse.
During this casual community conversation, Controller Heisler will address Mayor O'Connor's 2027 budget proposal, Councilmember Strassburger's fiscal reforms package to make government more transparent and accountable, and the state of city finances overall, including how we can overcome our challenges and stay focused on growth in the years ahead.
Free to attend; light refreshments will be provided. The event will be held in the main lobby of the Baumhaus apartment building, accessible from Baum Boulevard.
Parking: street parking can be easily found along the Friendship side streets adjacent to Baum Boulevard (Graham and Fairmount Streets are the closest).
