Community Preparedness Class: C.R.A.S.E. & Stop the Bleed

The Covington - Newton County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), in partnership with Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) & Homeland Security, is pleased to offer this free Community Preparedness Class.

Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events is a multi-hour block of classroom instruction time to equip participants with the practical knowledge and skills to help survive an active shooter event. Course participants are given an overview of active shooter events that have occurred across the country and in depth response options.

This class will also include "Stop the Bleed" training that is designed to encourage people to learn the skills necessary to save someone's life with the emphasis on how to stop traumatic bleeding.
