Community Prayer for Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria

The Raindrop Foundation San Antonio is organizing a community prayer this Thursday evening to support the victims and their families.

On February 6, 2023, two powerful earthquakes hit the southeastern region of Turkey and northern Syria. Rescuers in Turkey and war-ravaged Syria keep their searches through the frigid nights, hoping to pull more survivors from the rubble after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake killed more than 4,500 people and toppled more than 5600 buildings across a wide region including 10 provinces of Turkey. Unfortunately, the WHO has warned that the death toll is likely to increase as much as eight times, as rescuers find more victims in the rubble. Tens of thousands of people were injured, and hundreds of thousands were left homeless in the middle of adverse winter conditions. Some of our community members' families were also trapped under collapsed buildings. The pain experienced by the earthquake left us all grieving.

To support the victims and their families, the Raindrop Foundation is organizing a community prayer gathering on this Thursday, February 9th at 6:30 pm at its facility on 4337 Vance Jackson Rd, San Antonio, TX.
