The Town of Vail’s second and last neighborhood picnic of the summer will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Bighorn Park in East Vail. Free food and drinks will be provided by the town on a first-come, first-served basis.
The yearlong celebration to mark the Town of Vail’s 60th year since incorporation will continue at the Bighorn picnic, with commemorative pins available for attendees while they last. Additional happenings to commemorate the anniversary include the “History of the Gore Creek Valley,” on display at Vail Public Library through August; and the annual Vail Social Community Potluck on Sept. 8, anticipated to be the largest gathering yet.
The picnics offer community members a fun and informal setting to reconnect with neighbors, as well as a chance to share comments and suggestions with members of the Vail Town Council and town staff.
