Community Paint Day with Trinity Barriere

A community art experience for participants of all ages to come together and contribute creatively by painting birdhouses that will become part of “The Mirage,” a large-scale public art sculpture by local artist Trinity Barriere. Participant contributions will help bring this artwork to life, with the completed sculpture scheduled for unveiling in April 2026.

The painted birdhouses will provide habitat for migrating birds that pass through the Audubon Nature Center and Joe Brown Park area. This project invites community members from across the city, including New Orleans East residents, to participate in a shared public artwork.

Join us for a family-friendly event featuring food, music, and opportunities for all ages to come together and create something meaningful for our community. No prior experience is required.
