The 3/8-Cent Sales Tax is an existing retailers’ sales tax first approved by Lenexa voters in 2008. In spring 2025, Lenexa voters will have the opportunity to vote in a mail ballot election to renew the 3/8-Cent Sales Tax through 2048.
This is not a new tax. Voters are only being asked to extend it a further 20 years. If passed, it would continue to fund pavement maintenance, parks improvements and recreational opportunities throughout the city.
