Join Native Lands Restoration Collaborative (NLRC) and the Haskell Greenhouse teams at Blazing Star Prairie to clean native seeds in benefit of community restoration projects!
NLRC and Haskell have collected thousands of native seeds from local ecosystems that need to be cleaned for dispersal at various restoration projects. Volunteers will learn how to clean many native species' seeds and explore the long, invaluable relationships between humans and non-humans. Conversations, laughter, and community relationship-building included!
All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. We will be working out of the wind inside a hoophouse, but please plan to dress for comfort in colder temperatures. We will supply hot water/tea/coffee to keep volunteers warm!
