The LCAC along with the River Sisters Circle invite you to join us in the creation of a community mural led by David Ocelotl Garcia in honor of our connection to water, land and nature. This is a two-part workshop offering the opportunity to design elements and participate in the painting of “Water Ceremony'' at the LCAC’s future Colfax location. SPOTS ARE LIMITED - REGISTRATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
We will meet in early April at the Sun Valley Kitchen to design portions of the river in the mural and move to painting the 22 ft. x 100 ft. wall located under the Colfax Viaduct next to Empower Field.
The mural will be unveiled on May 20th, 2023, at the Sun Valley Rising’s Viaduct Night Market.
Registrants that can only make the On-site Painting Workshop will paint a unique design by artist David Ocelotl Garcia and participate in the painting of “Water Ceremony” during their selected session. (Limit 1 session per person)
