Metta (Loving-Kindness) is a profound meditation practice that is accessible to beginning meditators. It is so simple. You sit, stand, or walk in the rose garden while it blooms and visualize sending loving kindness to yourself and others. Your only commitment is your time and attention. Through practice, many people experience that unhelpful judgments and fears begin to soften and dissolve. This can increase your capacity to show up for yourself, your loved ones, and the community. This is an embodied meditation practice, where we visualize our bodies sending and receiving unconditional loving kindness. Feel free to practice on your own or join us in the rose garden, where simple meditation exercises will be offered to enhance self-inquiry. You may want to bring something to sit or lie on (a blanket, mat, cushion, or chair). A sign at the garden indicates dogs are to meditate outside the hedge.
