You could win a merit scholarship for private music lessons or our J@MS Program!The Music Settlement's Community Merit Scholarship Auditions are open to anyone in the community. You do not need to be a current student of The Music Settlement. Students of all ages are welcome and encouraged to audition. Merit scholarships are available for private music lessons and our J@MS Program (Jazz at The Music Settlement).
Students interested in auditioning for a merit scholarship must meet the audition requirements for their preferred instrument. General skill level is intermediate and up (advanced beginner for piano). Awards are determined based on the student's performance. All awards are applied toward full tuition for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Auditions will be held in-person at our University Circle campus. Students will be assigned an audition time once their application has been received. Video auditions will also be accepted. See application for more details.
Audition applications must be received no later than July 22, 2024. Walk-ins are not permitted.
