About this Event
Bring a garment or other textile item and join others for the Community Mending Stitching Circle. We'll replace buttons, hem, patch, sew up rips, embroider, etc. Bring your garment, quilt, crocheting... and your own supplies. Basic needles and thread will be provided if you forget yours. Get cozy in this helpful circle of friends as we connect and stitch together.
This activity on Jan. 25, Feb. 22, and March 22 is offered as part of Quakers’ free open house programs every fourth Sunday through April 26, 2026. The public is invited to attend all open house events, which include:
- Worship from 10 to 11 am. This is traditional “silent” Quaker worship. All are welcome, but no one is expected to attend in order to participate in other activities.
- Potluck meal at 11:30 am. Bring a dish to share.
- Free special activities at noon.
- Friends of Friends benefit performances are offered in addition at 1pm on Jan. 25, Feb. 22, and March 22.
- All are invited to our historic building's 141st anniversary celebration event on April 26, 2026.
