Join us for a Community Meeting on Principal Use Daycare Amendments at Rudisill Library, 1520 N Hartford Ave, on Thursday, February 9, at 6:30 p.m.This meeting will feature a discussion on possible zoning code amendments relating to principal use day cares. Tulsa Planning Office staff will be on hand to answer your questions.
More information:
The Tulsa City Council initiated a study in November 2022 to look at the regulations regarding day cares uses. Amendments to the land use requirements for principal use day cares could reduce barriers to opening new day care facilities in repurposed single-family homes. This would help increase the number of day care providers in Tulsa for families that need them.
The Tulsa Planning Office is currently working on a report and recommendations for the proposed amendments and is looking for community input at this stage.
There will be more opportunities for public comment before the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission and the Tulsa City Council as the amendment process continues.
