Community Meeting: Federal Workforce Cuts and Colorado's Veterans
About this Event
Join Stop Firing Vets and other partners for a meeting about the mass federal workforce cuts that have upended the lives of so many Coloradans, particularly its Veterans. Impacted federal workers, including Veterans, will share how their lives have been affected by these workforce cuts. You will hear about the actions we can each take to stand with our impacted Veterans and federal workers, and fight for the benefits they earned.
Background
Since January 2025, over 300,000 federal workers have been fired or forced out of the federal workforce. There are 40,000 federal workers in Colorado. Nearly a third of federal workers are Veterans. These cuts have hit Colorado hard.
They're a betrayal of the promise we've made to Veterans. Veterans serve their country in uniform, and many continue that service through federal employment. That promise has been broken. These workforce cuts jeopardize critical services and benefits that not just all Veterans rely on, but all Coloradans rely on.

About the Hosts
Stop Firing Vets is an initiative focused on educating, mobilizing, and organizing Coloradans across the political spectrum about how federal workforce cuts are harming both Veterans who sought to continue serving in the federal government and Veterans who rely on federal services and benefits.
