Community Hike & Connect with She Summits

Get outside and connect with fellow adventurers! Join the Community Hike + Connect in collaboration with She Summits and Cedar Rock Wellness.

The hike is by suggested $10 donation with proceeds going to support the work of Girl in the Wild, free confidence-building camps in wild spaces for teenagers who identify as girls or non-binary.

Advance registration is required. All levels and genders welcome!

• Date and time: Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
• Location: meet at the Cleveland Dam Parking Lot (5077 Dam Rd, North Vancouver, BC V7R 4K7) for a hike through Capilano River Regional Park

About This Event

As part of VIMFF Summer Fest, we’re bringing you a Community Hike + Connect hosted in collaboration with She Summits and Cedar Rock Wellness.

We’ll meet at the Cleveland Dam parking lot, where a Cedar Rock practitioner will lead us through a short mobility warm-up to get our bodies prepped for hiking! Then, we’ll enjoy a 90 minutes all-levels hike through Capilano River Regional Park. The scenic rolling trails around Cleveland Dam and Capilano Canyon have minimal elevation gain and wind through forest, rivers, and waterfalls.

Post-hike, we'll return to our cars and you have the option of making the short 12-minute drive to return to VIMFF Summer Fest at the Shipyards in North Vancouver.

Go home with a $10 voucher to Two Rivers Meat and have the chance to win a 60-minute Massage Therapy or Acupuncture session ($140 value) with Cedar Rock Wellness at their luxury holistic health and wellness studio in Squamish.

After the hike, you’ll also receive a free drink ticket (non-alcoholic options available) to be used at the beer garden at the VIMFF Summer Fest. This is a free, family-friendly outdoor film event hosted on June 22 from 1:00 pm-8:30 pm at the Shipyards.
