Community Happy Hour to Discuss Expanding Access to Legal Help in Texas
About this Event
Come join us for a drink to learn more about an opportunity for Texas to expand access to legal help!
We are excited to invite community members to a happy hour discussion to learn about the Texas Supreme Court's proposal that would allow trained community members to help Texans with everyday civil legal issues like settling an estate, navigating guardianship, or resolving property issues.
We’ll begin with a brief overview of the proposal, followed by an open conversation about the legal issues Texans face in their everyday lives and the challenges people experience finding legal help from lawyers who are so often too expensive or inaccessible.
We will meet on the Side Patio of Armor Brewing Co, located at 9 Prestige Cir, Allen, TX 75002. Parking is free. First drink is on us;, attendance is free, but RSVP to reserve your spot!
The Institute for Justice is a non-profit, civil liberties law firm dedicated to increasing access to justice nationwide.
