Community Grief Gathering: A Circle of Remembrance

Grief is with us always, yet modern society gives us so little space to process or confront it. We are not meant to carry this weight in isolation—grief isn't a problem to be solved or fixed, but a sacred part of being human that requires a village to hold.
In this gathering, we will build a gentle container to honor our sorrow and learn how to walk alongside it. Drawing on the wisdom of Francis Weller’s The Wild Edge of Sorrow, we will explore the Five Gates of Grief—a map that opens our heart to the many forms of loss we carry. Whether you are tending the loss of a loved one, unspoken personal wounds, pain for our world, unfulfilled dreams, or ancestral sorrow, this is a safe landing space for all of it. Come as you are, and let us hold space together as a community.
If you would like, you may bring an item to focus your grief, whether it be a photo, keepsake, or any other momento mori.
