Community Gathering for Ukrainians 50+

Join us for a special afternoon dedicated to Ukrainians aged 50+ living in Leicestershire. This event is all about connection, community, and culture.

At 2:00pm, we’ll begin with Ukrainian refreshments and an informal time to meet and get to know one another. This is a chance to discover how many of us are here and to start building friendships for the future.

At 3:00pm, we’ll use Mentimeter for an interactive activity to hear your voices: how do you see your life here in the UK, and what ideas do you have for future meetings and activities? Your input will help shape our plans as the Leicestershire Ukrainian Community applies for new funding to support programmes for Ukrainians aged 50+.

To finish the day, at 4:00pm we will open the doors for everyone to enjoy a beautiful cultural experience. Mariia Petrovska, a talented bandura player and singer, will perform a concert of traditional and contemporary Ukrainian music.

No separate registration is needed for the concert if you are attending the Gathering.If you wish to attend the Concert only (without the Gathering), please register separately on the Concert Eventbrite page.

The event will take place in the historic Town Hall of Leicester, using both the Tea Room and the Council Chamber to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Запрошуємо вас на особливу подію, присвячену українцям віком 50+, які проживають у Лестерширі. Цей захід про спілкування, громаду та культуру.

О 14:00 ми розпочнемо з українського частування та неформального знайомства. Це чудова нагода дізнатися, скільки нас тут, і почати будувати дружні стосунки на майбутнє.

О 15:00 ми проведемо інтерактивну сесію через Mentimeter, щоб почути ваші голоси: як ви бачите своє життя у Великій Британії та які маєте ідеї для майбутніх зустрічей та активностей. Ваші думки допоможуть сформувати наші плани, адже Leicestershire Ukrainian Community подає заявку на нове фінансування для підтримки програм для українців 50+.

Завершимо день о 16:00 чудовим культурним досвідом. Марія Петровська, талановита бандуристка та співачка, виконає концерт традиційної та сучасної української музики.
