The new community garden in South Salt Lake is moving forward, and we would like to plan our first community workday on Saturday, May 21st, at 9 am. We will be laying out garden plots and "double digging" them. Bring your shovels, sturdy shoes, refillable water containers, hats and sunscreen!This will be labor-intensive, so the more people who can show up, the merrier! We intend to have an additional workday on Saturday, May 28th at 9am for installing the drip irrigation.
At that point, we will likely begin taking garden registrations and assigning plots based on hours of participation in the garden development process. So, if you are interested in getting a garden plot of your own, please try to make one of our upcoming workdays.
