"Water On My Block", App Unveiling & Weather Balloon Launch

At this meeting, you'll discover:

• The launch of the new "Water On My Block" Greater Chatham Flood App, created in partnership with the University of Chicago and Greater Chatham , designed for reporting flooding in the community and providing helpful resources.
• How you can track rainfall using rain gauges and soil sensors.
• Learn more about becoming a Citizen Scientist and get paid a $100 stipend. Only participants who complete the full 6 weeks will be eligible for the stipend.
• How to request a tree planted on your property or neighborhood via 311.
• A live weather balloon launch demonstration.

This Citizen Scientist research campaign is in collaboration with Greater Chatham Initiative, University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and Chicago State University.
