💰 Mindful Spending: Navigating the Holiday Season

Join us in person at our office for a fun and informative Mindful Spending Workshop designed for youth who want to build confidence, make intentional financial decisions, and learn how to manage their money, time, energy, and resources during the holiday season.

The holidays can be an exciting time filled with Thanksgiving gatherings, Christmas celebrations, New Year’s plans, gift-giving, travel, and time with family and friends. But with all the excitement can also come pressure to spend, give, attend, and keep up. This workshop will help youth think beyond the price tag and explore the emotional currency we spend during the holidays—including our time, energy, attention, and resources.

During this workshop, youth will learn:

• How emotions and social pressure can influence spending decisions
• How to identify the difference between wants, needs, and meaningful priorities
• Strategies for creating a realistic holiday spending plan
• How to avoid impulse spending and spending beyond their means
• How to be intentional with their time, energy, and financial resources
• Ways to set healthy boundaries around giving, gifting, and holiday commitments
• How to enjoy the holiday season without creating unnecessary financial stress
• Practical tips for making thoughtful and confident money decisions

Direct service providers are welcome to attend with their youth, and guidance counselors are encouraged to refer students and families who may benefit from this workshop.
