About this Event
Community Engagement in Ohio's Lake Erie Watershed
We’re excited to invite you to an upcoming in-person Community Engagement Training on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Rid-All Green Partnership in Cleveland, OH.
This in-person training is offered through a partnership between Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve and Chagrin River Watershed Partners, as part of a shared effort to build organization’s capacity for habitat restoration in Ohio’s Central Lake Erie Basin.
The training will be led by the Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition (NEOBHC), a trusted leader in advancing health equity and environmental justice. Designed for individuals working in or with African American communities, the training will provide tools to strengthen engagement, foster collaboration, and support meaningful, community-led change.
Facilitators include Yvonka Hall, MPA, Dr. Lashale Pugh, Dr. Zach Williams, Samario Ford, and Honey Bell-Bey, all of whom bring deep expertise in public health, environmental justice, and community empowerment.
The training will be followed by an optional tour of the Rid-All Green Partnership campus, an inspiring model for urban agriculture and sustainable community development.
Registration is $15 and includes a light breakfast and full lunch. If cost is a barrier, please reach out — we're happy to provide a discount code to make the training accessible to all.
