About this Event

CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is a FEMA-sponsored program that educates and trains residents in disaster preparedness.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training course is 3 days of training designed to prepare individuals to help themselves, their family, and neighbors in the event of a catastrophic incident. CERT is about doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people.

Students will learn basic skills such as disaster preparedness, disaster medical operations, disaster psychology, fire safety, light search and rescue, and participate in a disaster simulation. A class certificate is provided for those that attend all three days and successfully complete the course.
