Community Earth Fest at CUUC Plano

Community Unitarian Universalist (UU) Church welcomes everyone — especially families — to celebrate Earth Day at the church’s award-winning community garden on Saturday morning, April 25, 2026. Come to enjoy a bounce house, games, music, face painting, balloon artists, and more. Admission is free and canned food donations will give your family a free raffle ticket. The highlight of the event will be a Community Garden Scavenger Hunt, where participants can touch, dig, weigh, discover, test out garden tools and plant seeds of their own.

“We want to provide a safe, welcoming place where everyone can come laugh, play and put their hands in the dirt to celebrate Earth Day and lift up the efforts in our wider community toward food justice,” says the church’s minister, Rev. Dr. Aija Duelm. “Community UU and its partner organizations are called to support families who are struggling, so we created Earth Fest to share a little joy and love with the larger community.”

Earth Fest will offer a variety of activities for children and families to explore, such as:

• A bounce house
• Family-friendly games
• Garden tours & plant sale
• Scavenger hunt
• Face painting
• Crafts

• Balloon animals
• Live music
• Firetruck, Plano Fire and Community Police
• Voter registration
• Community Partners God’s Pantry and Local Good
