Aria is a certified one on one sound healing practitioner, gong practitioner, drum circle facilitator, reiki master, and holds a Doctorate in Sacred Music. She carries a deep desire to create community and foster unity through her sound healing practice and in her choral work.
Participating in drum circles carries with it numerous healing benefits. It can be a healthy outlet for unexpressed emotions such as grief or anxiety. Circles allow for playfulness and creativity, activating the right hemisphere of the brain all while creating a vibrational sense of unity and community beneath a steady beat. The steady rhythms stimulate the body in such a way that listening capabilities are increased, conversational abilities honed, and feeling of oneness experienced with those around us in the circle, and even with those to whom we interact after the circle.
So much fun can be had while at the same time increasing our cardiovascular health, refining our motor skills, and lifting and easing both anxiety and depression. Through this event you will find that you have grown in mindfulness all well and enhanced your overall cognitive function! Putting aside all the physical and emotional health benefits, drum circles are an opportunity to have fun, be playful, and tap into your inner child.
You do not have to have any drumming experience, be a musician, or be able to keep a beat to participate in this unique and exciting event. If you have a drum, you are invited to bring it or any percussion instrument. If not, please feel welcome to attend as a drum will be provided to you. Let’s unite our rhythms and share in the joy of unity and fostered community!
