About this Event
Welcome to the Community Doula Clinic!
Join us on Saturday, March 29th, from 12 PM to 3 PM at the Shakur Center (3230 Broadway) for an empowering and collaborative gathering designed for birth workers, expectant parents, and families seeking postpartum and breastfeeding support.
This month, we are excited to co-host this clinic with IBCLC Kavisa Woods of Nourishing Justly, who will be offering lactation training for birth workers. Whether you're looking to enhance your breastfeeding support skills, deepen your knowledge of lactation, or strengthen your doula practice, this is a valuable opportunity to learn from an experienced lactation consultant dedicated to equitable and just care.
We’ll continue fostering community, mentorship, and professional development for birth workers, particularly BIPOC doulas, as we strengthen our collective impact. This is a space to share your expertise, build relationships, and grow as a birth worker while engaging in meaningful discussions on how we can support each other and the families we serve.
Whether you’re a seasoned doula, an aspiring birth worker, or a parent navigating pregnancy or postpartum, this clinic offers a welcoming environment to connect, learn, and expand your knowledge.
🌱 Light refreshments will be provided.
🌱 Opportunities to sign up for future leadership and skill-sharing sessions.
We look forward to learning and growing together—see you there!
