The Rock Apostolic Community Church is joining in with our local Loving Bottoms Organization to sponsor a community ‘Diaper Drive.’ Being able to afford disposable diapers for babies/toddlers and various adult absorbent products (i.e. adult disposables and hygiene products) is one of these circumstances that continues to present as a critical need in Knox County. An estimated 18.6% of people have been identified as being at or below the federal poverty rate in our community. This means in Knox County approximately 1 out of 5 persons are struggling financially. According to the National Diaper Bank, “More than 60% of families receiving diapers earn less than $20,000 per year.” It is our desire to help and support those organizations in the Knox County area in providing essential needs. We at The Rock ACC believe this to be a ministerial necessity and a vital part of acting out our faith in Christ. Please join us as we extend a hand-up to our neighbors who are in need.Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank is a local nonprofit that provides diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies to anyone in need. 1 in 3 families experience diaper need, and the diaper bank aims to eliminate the lack of need in our community to keep babies healthy, happy, and safe. In 2020 alone, they distributed over a half a million diapers to families in need. Your diaper, pull up, or baby wipe donation will have a direct impact on babies and families in our very own community.
