I’m opening the gallery for another Community Creation workshop. Bring one idea into the room and see how it starts becoming an object.

Community Creation is a beginner-friendly, hands-on 3D-printing workshop at Rosser Gallery. I’ll help you move from scan and concept through digital form and fabrication. You can begin with a sketch, phrase, logo, or New Orleans inspiration. No prior 3D-design experience is required.

Your ticket includes guided workshop access and one small-format 3D print. Because printing takes time, most completed objects will be available for pickup at Rosser Gallery after the workshop.

Space is limited to 18 participants.

Presented by Rosser Gallery in partnership with the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Foundation. Water provided by LEVEL Ultra-Purified Water+.

Reserve one of 18 spots through Eventbrite.
About this Event

Community Creation at Rosser Gallery

I’m building the kind of creative room I wish more of us had access to—a place where artists, students, young creators, and curious neighbors can share ideas, try unfamiliar tools, and make something together.

Community Creation is part workshop, part gallery hangout, and part creative lab. Bring an idea, a sketch, a phrase, a symbol, a logo, or a piece of New Orleans inspiration—or come ready to find one.

We’ll start with introductions and a hands-on look at 3D scanning. I’ll walk through a live example, show what the scanner is actually capturing, and make room for people to step in and try the process.

From there, we’ll move into ideation: What do you want to create, and what could it become? I’ll share a few of the image-generation tools I use, along with the prompt structure and design details that help turn an image into a stronger 3D-printable object—cleaner shapes, useful detail, and fewer problems when it’s time to print.

We’ll also look at some of the websites I use to generate 3D models and the way I now handle edits with AI tools and MCP connectors. I won’t try to cover every workflow or turn the night into a technical lecture. This is an honest look at the process I use today, shared in a way that artists, beginners, and younger creators can follow.
