COMMUNITY CRAFTERNOON: MACRAME DRIFTWOOD WALL HANGING with Megan Crowder

Whether you’re brand new to crafting or a seasoned maker, this series is all about slowing down, getting creative, and connecting with others.

In this session, Megan will demonstrate beginner-friendly macrame techniques for students to create a macrame driftwood wall hanging (approximately 5x7 inches) to bring home. All materials and step-by-step guidance will be provided. Tables/chairs will be available and feel free to bring anything additional for your comfort.

These macrame workshops are limited to small groups so that Megan can cater to a range of experience levels and give more individual guidance as may be needed.

Crafting is proven to support wellness (including through mindfulness and focus, a sense of accomplishment, and social connection), reduce stress, and boost mood, and it’s even better when we do it together. Building a community around creating is a magical thing — it gives you an opportunity to pause, recharge and feel a sense of accomplishment.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: "My name is Megan and I’m an artist and a creator at heart. I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember. My mind is always dreaming up my next project, and my home is filled with supplies I will eventually use someday (my family is very patient, lol). I’m a lifelong learner who loves sharing what I learn whenever I get the chance. By day, I work as a Support Specialist for Portland 911, a fast-paced and demanding but deeply rewarding role.
