About this Event
Join us for an evening where participants will prepare and enjoy a meal based on the fruits and vegetables grown and harvested by Sustain DuPage Gardeners!
The menu for this event will include:
- Vegetarian p ozole, made from Gaspé flint corn and Potawatomi rabbit cowpeas and lima beans. The pozole will be flavored with mushrooms, dried ancho peppers, vegetable stock, and garlic. Participants can top the pozole to their own preferences with the following: shredded napa cabbage, diced onions, sliced radishes, cilantro, lime wedges, tortilla chips, hot sauce, and crumbled cheese.
- Mint and basil iced tea
- Heirloom Pumpkin squares for dessert!
All dishes for this event are prepared with vegan and gluten-free ingredients. Cheese and whipped cream will be available on the side.
All skill levels are welcome to participate, although minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Although this is a 3 hour event, you are not required to stay the entire time-- though you certainly won't want to miss the meal! Please bring tupperware in case you would like to take home any leftovers.

6-7pm Prep and cooking
7-8pm Serving and Eating
8-9pm Cleanup, and Leftovers!
