About this Event
Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare is proud to host a series of Stigma Reduction Workshops in partnership with UR Medicine Recovery Center of Excellence, focused on addressing one of the biggest barriers to mental health, substance use, and seeking care.
This is not an academic workshop about stigma. It is a conversation for participants to explore stigma, how we support people with substance use disorder (SUD) and their families, and how we work together in our communities to reduce stigma. We use video interviews of people with lived experience to facilitate discussion, making it very interactive.
Parking is available in front of the main office and the detox center.
Guests will enter through the main office (directly right off of Stockton Street, where the carport is.)
The Helms Conference Room is the first door to the right upon entering the main office.
