About Aoy Broome:
Aoy Broome is a dedicated BIPOC registered clinical counsellor and youth and family counsellor in the Saanich School District. Aoy emigrated to Canada in 2004 with a background in researching interpersonal communications in multicultural work settings. Aoy actively educates students and staff on microaggressions and unconscious bias and leads workshops on intersectionality and diversity in schools. As a mother of two biracial teenagers, her personal experiences further enrich her professional journey.
