Community Constables and First Nations Employment Opportunities
About this Event
This session will discuss a range of different career pathways within SAPOL. This session is open to all community members, however it will have a specific focus on the First Nations recruitment and Community Constable role.
Community Constables are role models who work alongside police to support community safety, strengthen relationships and promote culturally informed policing. They play a key role in building trust and improving engagement between police and community.
The career information session will cover:
- All career pathways within SAPOL
- Requirements and how to apply
- The SAPOL Recruitment Test (TAFE SA)
- What to expect at the panel interview
- Information about physical testing - including required standards and tips on how to prepare yourself
- What to expect when training at the Academy
- Salary and benefits on offer
You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and speak directly with SAPOL members and hear about their experiences working with SAPOL.
