Caring for a loved one is rewarding as well as challenging. This is an opportunity to be creative and connect with others.
Carers Support Centre and Bristol Women’s Voice invite carers, those who are cared for and those with caring responsibilities to join us for Community Connection Meeting at Broadmead Baptist Church on Tuesday 15th October 2024 from 11am to 1.30pm.
Caring for a loved one is rewarding as well as challenging . Having the time, opportunity and space to talk about shared experiences can give us the realisation we are not alone in our stories and emotions .
Peer support is known to be powerful by hearing each other and providing encouragement to one another as we are playing an important part in someone’s life and society more widely. Information sharing supports with problem-solving.
Without care, society would fall apart.
This is Community Connection Meeting is part of our Value the Caring Economy Campaign , calling for change in the value society places on care.
Whether you have been caring for someone for most of your life or whether it is something new to you, everyone is welcome.
What to expect:
-Connecting with women in similar situations for peer support
-Participating in engaging & creative activities
-Feeling more connected & invigorated
-Taking away tools for raising awarness and being part of making CARE visible
-Finding out more about the Caring Economy Campaign
A free creche and children's activities will be available IF you register for it by the 8 October 2024. You can do so when you register for the event, email (see below) or text message us on 07443 470 984.
