Community Connect Service Fair
About this Event
Serve, make friends, learn lots, eat snacks aplenty and drink water diligently. Get school service hours.
Local nonprofits to meet and quiz as you walk the perimeter. "What's your mission and how can volunteers help?"
2 class/service projects, run by Mile Hi’s “Make a Difference” membership, will be on the right end of the multipurpose room as you enter. Origami peace crane folding, benefitting Habitat for Humanity, and crocheting soap saver bags for the foodbanks/homeless who requested hygiene products. Paper for folding will be provided. Bring size 9/I or 8/H crochet hooks and 4 ply cotton yarn to make sacks. A few hooks and some yarn will be available to use.
The 3rd class/project will be fleece scarves will be fringed and tied. Benefiting Homeless
A 4th class, beginning Family Search genealogy, north/east end of the front hall at 10am
Class/project #5, building and painting bird houses, front lawn outside.
What else for volunteers? Center of the room tables need volunteers to sort and distribute donations. Look for activity instructions posted.
Kids? Are welcome under parent supervision at any age appropriate activity. There are also bags to decorate.
