A community concert featuring Shaw Brothers, AC Sapphire (Oregon), and a few Bexley students of community music teacher Chris Shaw. A chance to see some music from beginners to career musicians with a connection to Bexley and beyond. Concert is at the Bexley Senior Center (formerly Art with Anna).
The Shaw Brothers BIO
Andy and Chris Shaw have been making music since there school days going through youth symphonies, fiddle groups, rock bands, high school musicals, and more all encouraged by their music teacher dad Jim and Bexley community member Martha. They have been making a career in music since the early 2000s and love hosting house concerts and various events for their musician friends all around the country.
AC Sapphire BIO
An American singer-songwriter based in Portland, Oregon AC has shared the stage with artists including First Aid Kit, Amos Lee, Langhorne Slim, and Victoria Williams[3] and collaborated with Kyle Craft, Hoots & Hellmouth, Sharon Little, and Shirley Manson.
Raised in Eastern Pennsylvania, Sapphire performed from an early age and debuted with the self-released album Elixir for the Human Heart (2005). Sapphire eventually moved to the Mojave Desert and re-established her solo career with the EP Sibling Rivalry (2015). She then relocated to Portland, where she released another EP, Omni Present (2020), and her long-delayed second album, Desert Car (2022). She is touring through and we are honored to haver her.
