Community Archives Scan Day

Brew House Arts is partnering with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to host a Community Scan Day at our gallery. You’re invited to scan your old photographs, documents, slides, and more for free at Community Scan Day! Staff will teach you how to use a portable scanner to digitize your items at CLP locations. If you’d like to donate digital copies to the CLP Digital Community Collection, a staff member will walk you through the donation process.

Appointments are 40 minutes long, with a limit of 10 items. You must bring your own storage for your scans, such as a flash drive or portable hard drive. Appointment sign up coming soon. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Acceptable items (no larger than 8.5” x 11.7”) include:

Print photographs

Hand-written and typed documents

Negatives and slides

*We’re specifically looking to help fill out archives of Brew House Art’s history—have you been a past artist involved at BHA, a collector, a nearby resident, or attendee of past events? We’d love to include you.
