About this Event
Come and enjoy a friendly community growing project!
Get back outdoors, help to grow food for the community, meet new people and enjoy some light physical exercise in a COVID secure environment.
The project is for people aged 16-60 who have learning difficulties and or mental health problems that want to connect with nature and the community.
Activities include:
- Weeding
- Planting and looking after seeds and seedlings
- Digging beds and clearing compost bins
- Constructing a DIY recycled bottle green house
- Painting and decorating
Starting Tuesday 8th March.
Weekly sessions on Tuesday 10.30am-2.30pm.
You will be supported what ever your needs, this could be depression/anxiety or if you have a physical disability. Groundwork will provide a range of PPE and refreshments. Groundwork can also cover travel costs.
