Communication boards are a low-tech AAC devices, meaning they don't rely on electricity or complex technology
Who can use them?
Pupils with speech impairments, developmental delays, or other conditions that affect their ability to speak effectively can benefit from communication boards
What are the benefits of using them?
Improved communication:
They allow pupils to express themselves and participate in social interactions.
Increased independence:
Using a communication board can empower pupils to make their own choices and express their needs.
Reduced frustration:
They can help pupils communicate more effectively, which can reduce frustration and improve their overall well-being.
Participants on the course will learn how to make a communication board and be able to take it home when finished.
