Common Mercury is an evening of slow-moving sound, transformations, and shared resonance.
Bringing together Abaris Moerae (Helsinki), echo minimal, and Lost Harbours (Riga).
Three voices. One shared current.
Built around guitar, looping, and recurring motifs, Abaris Moerae is the solo project of Helsinki-based composer Nicholas Pucciarelli, creating contemplative compositions that unfold like parables: simple in form, open in meaning, and rooted in emotional resonance. The music lingers in a space between memory and reflection, inviting listeners to discover their own meanings rather than receive a prescribed one. Founded in 2022, Abaris Moerae draws from ambient minimalism, post-rock, and soundtrack composition. The project has released the debut EP The Choir of Few (2022), followed by the cassette Impulse of Genuine Conscience (2025) through Affine Dark Science and New Polar Sound. Based in Helsinki, Abaris Moerae has performed at the Sinebrychoff Art Museum, Talvipuutarha, Kaiku, Rikhardinkatu Library, and Ida Radio. Nicholas is the co-founder of New Polar Sound and has collaborated with filmmaker and composer Edward Paul Quist (Embryoroom). The project has also been featured by We Are Art.

Lost Harbours creates psychedelic sounds wrung from simmering, hallucinatory landscapes. Since their genesis in 2007 they toured across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Indonesia. Along the way this odyssey has allowed them to share stages with Mirrorring (Grouper / Tiny Vipers), Boduf Songs, Jessica Bailiff, The Dead Rat Orchestra, The Owl Service, Kemper Norton and Library Tapes. Seven full albums and several EP's have been recorded and disseminated in a variety of formats. These have received plaudits from the likes of Wire magazine, Loud and Quiet, The Quietus, Julian Cope, The Liminal, Norman Records, Foxy Digitalis, Heathen Harvest, Evening of Light, and Gloom Folk. They have sound-tracked the documentary Lead / Light and the poetry piece: Public Record: Estuary - the work of writer Justin Hopper which was commissioned especially for the Shorelines 2013 festival by Rachel Lichtenstein.
