About this Event

Join us for our 11th Annual Community Training, Common Ground: Cultivating Spaces for Families—a powerful day of learning, connection, and courageous conversation designed to inspire momentum for meaningful change.

This inspiring event invites community members from all walks of life to come together to explore resilience, transformation, and the role of human connection in building stronger, more inclusive communities. Through critical conversations and shared experiences, participants will examine how understanding adversity and engaging with empathy can help create true common ground.

We are honored to welcome Daryl Davis, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, and Dr. Bruce Perry, each of whom brings profound insight and lived experience to the conversation. Our guest speakers will share personal stories and aligned evidence on overcoming adversity, building bridges across differences, and fostering lasting, positive change for families and communities.

Held at the beautiful and historic Maryland Theatre, this meaningful experience offers attendees the opportunity to earn CEUs for social workers while engaging in a day of growth, inspiration, and community-building.
