But we know better: compliance is the foundation of responsible interaction with our systems, our clients, our data, and the broader business landscape. It creates shared ground rules, establishes standards, and serves as a clear, practical force that helps organizations understand their responsibilities to the data and people they manage.

Shannon Lane is an 11-year veteran of compliance and audit work, with a background in health information systems and specializing in unifying frameworks and conflicting compliance imperatives. A bit of a mad scientist and a self-proclaimed 'massive nerd', he's equally at home discussing X-Men minutae or the golden-age masters of sci-fi as he is evaluating or designing systems and workflows.
