This three-day course provides students with the most comprehensive and detailed equipment training requirements to perform federal commercial annual inspections, brake inspection, and brake readjustment services for motor carriers as permitted. The course consists of two days of classroom training and one day of hands-on inspection training with a truck and trailer.

In addition, this course will also provide a detailed explanation of a Level I North American Standard Roadside Inspection performed by DOT inspectors. The course covers the commercial motor vehicle equipment standards of Part 393 and the North American Standard Out of Service Criteria. Discussion includes the additional publications motor carriers and compliance professionals may use to submit DataQ challenges to roadside violations issued in error.

Students completing this course will be qualified to conduct the following tasks:
- Federal Annual Commercial Vehicle Inspection (*as permitted by FMCSA Part 396 and accepted by your own state law)
- Brake Inspection
- Brake Readjustment
