About this Event
We live and work in groups — yet most of us have never been taught how groups actually function. In a moment defined by complexity, polarization, and rapid change, the ability to collaborate effectively has never mattered more.
Join us for the second installment of our Book Talk series, a special feature within our First Friday gatherings. This interactive conversation highlights leading authors whose ideas are shaping our professional lives, industries, and communities.
On April 3, we welcome , Associate Professor at University College London’s School of Management and one of the world’s leading experts on group dynamics. Drawing on decades of research from his book The Collective Edge: Unlocking the Secret Power of Groups, Dr. Fisher will explore the hidden forces that shape how groups behave — and how to harness them.
From avoiding dysfunctional conflict, to understanding what effective group leadership truly requires, to getting more from the teams we are part of at work and beyond, this conversation is essential for professionals across sectors who want to lead and collaborate with intention.
Dr. Fisher will be joined in conversation by , Director of Communication Leadership at the University of Washington, followed by an audience Q&A.
Light bites and beverages will be provided.
