About this Event
Comfort Measures for Childbirth
This class is a hands-on, faith-filled workshop designed to help you feel confident and supported in labor—without fear leading the room. You’ll learn practical comfort measures you can use in early labor and active labor, plus what to do if you experience back labor or labor that feels slow or stalled.
I’ll teach you how to work with your body the way God designed it: softening instead of bracing, staying grounded when intensity rises, and making space for your baby to move down and out.
This class is ideal for expecting moms and their parents and for birth support people looking to gain more experience for the birth room.
The guide I created and will teach takes the guesswork out of what to do during labor. When contractions begin, it’s common to feel unsure, overwhelmed, or even frozen in place. Partners often wonder how to help. This is where intentional movement and supportive techniques become powerful.
Inside, you’ll find easy-to-follow circuits designed for each phase of labor:
- Early labor to encourage progress while conserving energy
- Active labor to support intensity, focus, and optimal baby positioning
- A “if labor stalls” circuit to gently re-engage momentum
- Back labor support to relieve discomfort and help baby rotate
These circuits are not rigid rules—they are flexible tools. You can move through them intuitively, repeat what feels good, skip what doesn’t, and adapt based on your environment, energy, and preferences.
You’ll leave with a clear plan, simple tools you can practice ahead of time, and the confidence to walk into labor knowing: you are not alone, you are not powerless, and you were made for this.
Each participant will leave with a copy of "The Doula Jenn Method."
