We're looking for some more players to join the Team. Do you have what it takes to join ComedySportz?Arguably, the most famous short-form comedy show in the world. A ComedySportz match is comedy played as a sport where two teams of improvisational performers compete in various improv games and performing scenes, with audience members judging the results and awarding points. In every match, a ComedySportz referee monitors the action and administers fouls as necessary. This International comedy show-down is a high-energy hilarious experience, and appropriate for all audiences – all ages, all welcome, all the time!
HOW AUDITIONS WORKS:
These auditions are noted as 3 hours, but your audition will actually only be a portion of that time. It will be communicated to you what time within that 3 hour block we are requesting you attend. When auditioning, you will be trying out for all positions in a ComedySportz match. You will play improv games, perform scenes, Ref/Host and Announce/Tech.
HOW TO AUDITION:
Try Outs will be held at The Comedy Arena Main Stage.
Try Outs will consist of short improv scenes, you performing your own version of the Ref spiel and you performing your own version of the Announcer role.
After registering to audition, you might receive a follow-up email leading up to the audition requesting more info or we will provide you some materials to prepare.
COMMITTMENT:
The ensemble practices every Monday. Selected performers should be available to perform in at least 2 shows/matches a month.
Note: Auditions are open to everyone.
